New WEAL September 2022 Referrals
Further to our news regarding the happy relocation of Wiltshire Equine Assisted Learning to Wick Yard in September, I am pleased to announce that referral forms are now available via our website for equine, art and counselling services below.
The provision I will offer in September will be working with our core WEAL philosophy of equine, animal assisted and outdoor learning. The work will primarily be returning to helping learners to thrive in the outdoors, develop confidence, resilience, self esteem and well-being through work with the animals and outdoor activities with an in-house animal assisted learning program.
In addition, on site at Wick Yard, members of our current team will be running independent provisions with the same ethos. Alison Smith will be providing counselling and Jen Chequer will be working with learners therapeutically using art, creativity and the outdoors to develop confidence and self esteem and a love of learning. In addition Jen is looking to continue to be able to offer functional skills maths and english and art qualifications.
Each of my colleagues have the full details of what they will be offering now and these are available through contacting us via the WEAL website.
The new referral system is now available for September bookings. If you have an existing learner you would like to put forward to continue with us, please register your interest by emailing us and we will assess if we are be able to offer suitable provision going forward. As part of the referral system, you will be directed towards the service you require.
Please note the following;
WEAL will be the umbrella organisation for a range of services offered by myself and my colleagues from Wick Yard. Full details of these are available on the website.
WEAL as it currently stands in Holt under Heathers direction closes on July 15th
In September I will become the director and along with some colleagues will relaunch provisions at Wick Yard yard.
WEAL will not be offering Post 16 qualifications or provision. The learning provision will be an in house animal equine assisted learning program.
There are not spaces for current learners to roll the provision over as the service will be reduced. New referrals will need to be made before the end of term 6.
Details of the services available from Wick Yard are now available and a referral form available on request or via the website.
places will be confirmed by the end of term 6
Alison, Jen and I are happy to respond to individual queries you may have that are not covered by the above.
We look forward to hearing from you as we embark on this new WEAL journey.
